If something happened to you tomorrow, would your family be protected?
Most expats have no life cover in place. The policy they had at home lapsed when they left, and they never replaced it. International life insurance is designed for people like you — it covers you wherever you live, and moves with you when you do.

Expat Health Group is an international insurance brokerage specialising in health and life insurance for expats living anywhere in the world. Our advisors work exclusively with internationally mobile clients — executives, families, and mobile professionals — who need cover that works across borders, wherever they are based. We compare leading international life insurers, manage the application process, and remain your point of contact at claims time.
Who needs expat life insurance?
Two groups come to us most often — and for very different reasons.
You've built something. Make sure it protects the people who depend on it.
High-income expats often have complex financial pictures — mortgages in two countries, school fees, a partner who may not work, equity in a business. A domestic policy from your home country almost certainly won't pay out while you're a resident abroad.
For executives earning $150K+, we typically recommend $1.5M–$2M in coverage — enough to replace income, settle debts, and give your family time to make considered decisions rather than urgent ones. Note that benefit is also subject to a maximum of 20× your gross annual salary.
Your family is overseas. The wrong plan — or no plan — leaves them exposed.
When you're abroad with dependants, the stakes are higher. School fees, rent, a non-working partner, children who may need to return home — the financial impact of losing the primary earner is immediate and severe.
International life insurance ensures your family isn't left navigating a foreign country's bureaucracy while also managing a financial crisis. The lump sum goes directly to your nominated beneficiaries, wherever they are.
What does it cover?
International expat life insurance pays a lump sum to your nominated beneficiaries on death — from any cause, anywhere in the world.
Death by any cause
Accident, illness, or medical condition — both are covered, subject to pre-existing condition exclusions.
Global coverage
Your policy follows you. It doesn't matter which country you're in when a claim is made.
Portable across borders
Move from Thailand to Dubai to Singapore — your policy continues without reapplication.
Nominated beneficiaries
You choose who receives the lump sum — spouse, children, or any other nominated person.
No referral to home country
Unlike domestic policies, there's no requirement to return home to make a claim.
Ages 18–70
Cover is available from age 18. The policy expires at the end of the policy year in which you turn 70.
