What Is Life Insurance for Expats?
Life insurance for expats differs from regular life insurance, as it is unlikely for an insurer from your home country to cover you if you are a resident in another country.
Put simply, an expat life insurance policy is a financial compensation policy covering the insured member for death by accident or death by medical condition, where a lump sum of money is paid to your family (or other nominated loved ones) after your death.
An example of death by accident is dying in a car accident, or falling over and dying from severe head injuries. Death by medical condition is dying from cancer, a heart attack, or stroke. Both are covered by our life insurance policy, as long as it is not a pre-existing condition.
